On Wednesday 6th July, TONE will hold the night of nights for 4 of Sydney & Melbournes’ up and coming talents…..
Electronic – Alt pop artist ELIZABETH ROSE
Similar in sound to the likes of Bjork, Fever Ray and Bat For Lashes, young Sydney artist ELIZABETH ROSE is gearing up for an exciting 2011.
Despite being only 20, she is producing her debut EP after her self produced demo’s attracted an array of attention.
Both FBi radio and Triple J have pushed her into the spotlight, with such recent tracks ‘Crystallise’ and ‘Throw me to the Stars’ appearing in the top 10 on the Triple J Electronic charts.
Big things are in store for this blossoming artist – her work with Dr Don Don on his latest single ‘Never Fear’ is currently growing in success on the air waves along with the Rufus remix of her track ‘Stars Ago’.
Rose most recently has been placed on the lineup for PARKLIFE 2011 along with artists Lykke Li, Santigold and Sebastien Tellier, a feat that truly attests to her talent.
So keep an eye and an ear out for this fast rising new Sydney artist as she begins to bloom….

New Wave – Experimental pop artist POM POM (Melb)
Emerging from the electro underground clubs of Sydney and now calling Melbourne home, is a distorted crossbreed of Trent Reznor, Fever Ray and Peaches, known simply as POM POM.
Late 2010 saw POM POM release her debut ep ‘In the Gaps Between’ with the single ‘Tuesday’ recently being picked up for high rotation on Traxx Radio ( indie internet broadcaster – http://www.traxxradio.net/?p=team )
The ep ‘In The Gaps Between’ has been described as an “…unsurpassed testament to the Australian dance scene” by US based media outlet Black Noize.
It’s been a busy 2011 for this Melbournian…consisting of continual gigging and writing with a set now darting from industrial dance to dubstep, dreamy electro pop to new wave.
Re-re locating overseas is on the cards, so come check POM POM (and band mate Dash Dot) out as you may not get the chance to for sometime….
